At Purity Plumbing, we use specialised gas detection tools to locate gas leaks. One of the most common leak detection tools is called a manometer. A manometer can detect drops in gas pressure. If the manometer detects a drop in the pressure, we will find the source of the gas leak. It could be due to a gas appliance or a gas pipe.
Depending on the source of the leak, we will repair the problematic fixtures and fittings. If it is due to a faulty connection or dirt inside the bayonet fitting, it is an easy fix and we will quickly fix the issue.
If the gas leak is due to a faulty appliance or damaged pipes and the problem can not be fixed by repairs, we will recommend replacement.
Our vans are fully loaded with spare parts so we can repair the gas leaks in the same visit. And if you need a new gas appliance, we can supply and install it. No matter what you need, we will provide an upfront quote before we begin. All our gas fitting work comes with a gas compliance certificate and safety certificate for your complete peace of mind and safety.
